The Sailor Corellia Saga, Chapter I

By Chirudo ChibiSuta/Sailor Corellia

Midday on Coruscant. The sun is shining, hovercars bustling, and people conversing on rooftops.

The Skydome Botanical Gardens were as beautiful as ever, and the blooming Nebula orchids made it even more so, with their shifting rainbow of colors. Four individuals were trying their best not to be seen, almost hiding behind the cactus-like plant in the center of the gardens. One was a woman who looked around 26, with long, dark brown hair and deep cerulean eyes. Another was a girl around 18 with short, pale violet hair and contrasting black eyes. The third was a girl about 15, with very short blonde hair and dark blue eyes. Finally, was a young girl of 13, with long sandy-blonde hair with red stripes, done in a weird 'do like Gungan eyes and ears, and blue eyes.

The thirteen-year-old tugged at the oldest woman's sleeve. "Xarae, why are we here, anyway?" she whispered.

"Well, Kairi-chan, I don't rightly know," the woman, Xarae, replied quietly.

"I think it best that we just stay out of sight," the tall blonde commented. "Then Xarae will be able to get her thoughts straight."

"That wasn't very nice, Zyta," the pink-hair said quietly but firmly.

"So?" Zyta replied curtly. "Since when are you my mother, Naga-chan?"

"I still think that was rude, and you should apologize," Nagareboshi (Naga-chan) informed Zyta.

Xarae was getting ready to break the two squabbling girls up when a flash of green and orange light shone above their heads. A screaming 12-year-old girl fell from the light, landing right on top of Xarae!

Xarae, who was lying on her stomach with the girl sitting on her back, brushed some dark hair out of her eyes. "Who are you?" she asked the girl.

The girl, whose dark brown hair, darker than Xarae's, was done up in teardrop odango with the semi-poofy ends hanging at the sides of her head, stood and replied, "My name is Chirudo ChibiSuta, but everybody calls me Suta-chan. Sorry I fell on you, I still haven't gotten the hang of this thing..." She held out a small silver key with green and orange jewels encrusted in it up, the silver chain latched around her slender neck.

Kairi-chan stepped over to the girl. "I'm Shicchi Kairiku, but everybody calls me Kairi-chan."

By that time everyone had taken in the girl's appearance. She wore a khaki flightsuit with black boots and a belt. On that belt were clipped a shiny lightsaber hilt and a gold heart-shaped brooch with a green starburst on it. She stood no taller than Kairiku, but her hair made her look about three inches taller.

ChibiSuta held out her hand to Kairiku. "Pleased to meet you!"

Kairiku shook the girl's hand and found that, although she had a slender build, she had a firm handshake. "Pleasure's all mine!"

Kairiku turned to the others and addressed them each one by one. She pointed to Zyta first. "That's Zyta, she's 15, and that's Nagareboshi, or Naga-chan, she's 18." Kairi indicated Nagareboshi, then pointed out Xarae. "That's Xarae, the one you fell on. She's... ah.."

"Twenty-five," Xarae filled in for the stammering girl.

"Nice to meet you all," ChibiSuta said cheerily. She then lowered her voice. "I'm actually looking for the Star Wars Sailor Senshi. My mom told me to go see them for Senshi training."

A look of pure surprise crossed Nagareboshi's face. "Who's your mom?" she asked politely.

"Chirudo Sutaru, but you might know her as Jaina Solo. She lives in the Future, long after the Empire will have fallen."

Zyta voiced her surprise. "Whoa!" After four pairs of hands clapped over her mouth, she quieted down. "So why, exactly, do you need training, should you find these senshi?"

"My homeworld, Corellia, is under attack by the dark power of the Sailor Sith!" she looked around nervously. "Mom said that it was either I came here, to the past, or go to Earth, to train with the Neo Senshi."

Kairiku's eyebrows shot up. "The who?"

"The granddaughters of the original planetary senshi of earth." ChibiSuta said matter-of-factly.

Kairi turned to Xarae. She whispered almost inaudibly to her, "Do you think we should tell her?"

"We should, and we shall," Xarae replied, then smiled down at ChibiSuta. "New friend, we know who you're looking for, and we are a part of that group. Would you mind telling us your Senshi name?"

"In a minute. First we gotta find a secure place. I know where to go! Follow me!" ChibiSuta told everyone.

She proceeded to run off, closely followed by Kairi, Xarae, Zyta, and Nagareboshi. They finally ended up in a dim room that hadn't been used for quite a while.

"Where are we?" Naga-chan asked.

"This is an old council stateroom, but since the council's breaking up they don't use it anymore." ChibiSuta told her.

"Ah, I see."

"Xarae, you asked me before what my Senshi name was. I'll show you now! Corellia Star Power, Make Up!"

An instrumental version of Savage Garden's "I Believe in Karma" played as the background music as ChibiSuta disappeared. She reappeared in Sailorfuku in green and orange with a staff that had a silver starburst at the top. She posed like Sailorsaturn, only with her free hand up in the "I love you" sign.

"A planet of serenity is my guardian deity. For magic and strength, with the Force as my guide, I'll make you pay! I'm Sailor Corellia!" As Sailor Corellia finished her speech, she brought her staff across her diagonally, with the top at top-left, and end at bottom-right. "So how'd I do?" she asked, bringing sweatdrops to the back of each senshi's head except hers.

"Well, ah, you see, we really have to take you to see our leader, Sailor Naboo, before you can really join our team," Naga-chan stammered.

"Oh, okay. When can we meet her?"

"Well, you see, we have a mission to complete here before we report back to headquarters," Nagareboshi said, trying to keep a glint of light from Corellia's staff out of her eyes.

"Oh, I see." Corellia sounded let-down, and Kairiku came and rested a hand on her shoulder.

"Don't worry, Suta-chan. How about you hang around with us until we go back?" Kairiku suggested eagerly.

Xarae wasn't so eager. "Kairiku, you know our mission."

"She won't get in the way, I promise!"

"All right. But you've got to stick with us, understand?"

Corellia nodded once, her hair bobbing with the movement. "Yes'm!" She de-transformed back to her regular clothes and tucked her locket under her belt.

"Allright, let's go!" Zyta encouraged, and they started out the door, with Kairiku and ChibiSuta in back, chatting like any sixth grade girls would. ChibiSuta described her home on Corellia, by the beach. She also told Kairiku about her siblings and about how she ended up as the middle kid.

She was finishing up describing her family as they approached a landing bay.

"...and my twin younger sisters aren't any better either. They're 9, and are so annoying! Ki-" She stopped short as the lights in the bay went out abruptly. "Emperor's Black Bones..."

Kairiku blindly grabbed ChibiSuta's arm. "Can you see anything, Suta-chan?"

"No, but this might help." ChibiSuta reached around to the back of her belt, and withdrew a shiny lightsaber hilt. She ignited the green-and-orange blade, splashing light in several directions. The light sent a glimmer into ChibiSuta's eyes that meant business to her, and made Kairiku shiver.

Xarae looked back at ChibiSuta. "I didn't know you had a lightsaber, Suta-chan."

"There's a lot about me you don't know," she replied, stretching her senses, searching for the person who turned out the lights. She whirled abruptly to the left, pointing her saber's tip at a shadow. A moving shadow... "You there! Get over here!" She used her Force skills to change the pitch of her voice to that matching her mother's, loud and crisp.

A woman stepped into the lightsaber's light-ring, her red-black hair and red-gold eyes looking purely evil. She wore a variation of Sailor-fuku in red and black. She had gold trim around her wrists and neck. She snarled, "You shouldn't have run, princess!"

ChibiSuta's face twisted into a snarl. "Sailor Sith Eimin. I didn't think you'd actually follow me across time to find me." She swung her saber high, making Eimin jump back a few feet.

"You guys get outta here!" ChibiSuta yelled at her new friends.

"No!" a strong voice yelled from the darkness. Suddenly, the lights came up, and four girls/women in Sailor-fuku stood in a semicircle behind ChibiSuta. The tallest, whom ChibiSuta recognized as Xarae, was in all black, with gray wings like Eternal Sailor Moon's and a black garter around her right thigh. Her brooch was also gray. Next to her was Zyta, whose fuku was tan, with a yellow front bow and red back bow and sun earrings. Third was Nagareboshi, in teal and light gray. Standing pretty much right next to ChibiSuta was Kairiku, in green and blue fuku with a pale green cape that reached her knees. She lead the Speeches.

"For Youth and Duality, I'm the Pretty Soldier Sailor Chibi Naboo! I protect wisdom and the future, and you're messing with the wrong kid!" Chibi Naboo cried.

"I am the Senshi of Death and Children. I am Sailor Iridonia, and I won't let you hurt this girl!" Iridonia quoted.

"A planet of Fire is my guardian deity. The sand and Suns are what give me my power. I'm Sailor Tatooine, and prepare to be sandblasted!" Tatooine shouted.

"I may not have a planet of my own, but I'm strong as any! For passion, light and sparkle, I'll make sure you never see another night sky! I'm Sailor Shooting Star!" Shooting Star yelled.

As Sailor Sith Eimin was distracted by the speeches, ChibiSuta snuck behind the others and transformed. She stepped out from behind Chibi Naboo, staff in hand, lightsaber hanging from her belt.

"A planet of serenity is my guardian deity. For magic and strength, with the Force as my guide, I'll make you pay! I'm Sailor Corellia!" She quoted from her heart, and twirled her staff above her and Chibi Naboo's heads.

Sith Eimin tapped her foot impatiently. "Are you twerps done yet?!"

Sailors Corellia and Chibi Naboo nodded at each other. "Nope!" they said in unison.

"Naboo Swamp..." Chibi Naboo readied her attack.

"Corellian...." Corellia did the same.

"Envelop!"

"Windstorm!"

A tornado with streams of swamp water swirling around it converged around Sith Eimin. It hurt her pretty bad, but she used her Black Death Lightning once, then disappeared in a blinding flash of red light.

When the senshi regained their eyesight, what they saw horrified them. Sailor Corellia was lying in a heap on the floor, her staff several meters away from her. She was alive, barely. Her energy was slowly leaving her, and she detransformed automatically.

Kairiku detransformed and ran to ChibiSuta. "Suta-chan!!" She knelt by her friend's head, cradling it on her legs. "Suta-chan, wake up!" She was crying, the tears landing on ChibiSuta's forehead and tunic.

Either by her own will or Kairiku's tears, ChibiSuta's eyes fluttered open. The others were kneeling near her, showing great concern for their new friend. ChibiSuta coughed, spitting up blood. It stained the front of her tunic, and she groaned. She swore she'd broken at least four ribs and cracked more. Her right leg felt numb below the knee, and from the looks of it, her lightsaber would need replacing sometime soon; it lay smashed on the floor about four feet away. She looked up at Kairiku and let a small smile pull at her mouth.

Xarae broke the ominous silence. "Will you be all right, Suta-chan?" She let her concern fully enhance her statement.

"Yeah, I've had worse beatings than this, trust me." ChibiSuta forced herself to sit up, although it took a bit of coaxing to get Kairiku to let go of her shoulders. ChibiSuta half-closed her eyes, falling into the Force, using it to heal her broken bones. Feeling returned to her leg, and her ribs stopped hurting.

" 'Bout time you woke up!" Zyta commented.

"Zyta, that wasn't very nice," Nagareboshi nagged her.

"Oh, geez, Naga-chan, do you have to harp on me all the time on that? I mean, I'm not trying to be rude or anything!" Zyta defended herself.

"Guys, please... I don't really like it when friends fight." ChibiSuta was standing now, with one hand on Xarae's shoulder for balance.

"I- you're right." Zyta smiled at the girl, then turned the grin on Nagareboshi. "Sorry, Naga-chan."

"It's okay, Zyta-chan," Nagareboshi replied.

Kairiku stood up, finally getting her emotions under control. ChibiSuta let go of Xarae's shoulder, getting her balance back.

Kairiku enveloped ChibiSuta in a huge hug, which ChibiSuta gladly returned.

Unbeknownst to them, someone, somewhere, was watching.

They did go on to have more, exciting adventures.

But that's.. another story. So ends Chapter 1 of the Sailor Corellia Saga.
