How Miyuki Became Sailor Aquaris

Written by Aisuno Miyuki/Sailor Aquaris

My name is Miyuki. Aisuno Kori Miyuki. Yukiko calls me Miyuki or Miyu, Priire and Ippin call me Suno-chan, Mika calls me Kori, Kairiku calls me Miyu-P, Aisu calls me Auntie Miyu, and Hiroko calls me Miyu-sama. But mostly everyone else calls me Miyu-chan.

I am nineteen years old. I have dark blue hair that I always wear in a ponytail over my right shoulder. I have light blue eyes and a black cat with a white-tipped tail, a white spot on her forehead, red front paws and white back paws.

My birthday is February 14. I am an Aquarius. My favorite color is blue, my favorite gemstone is lazurite, my favorite animals are pandas and white tigers, and my favorite flowers are snowdrops.

I am somewhat of a vegitarian. I'm not much into any meat except for canned tuna. One of my favorite foods is my infamous cream cheese tuna cucumber sandwich (I once got into a HUGE argument with Priire about this). I am also a chocoholic and love anything with sugar in or on it. I despise eggplant.

I am smart and I guess one could say I'm sweet. I can't stand arrogance or seeing someone hurt or mistreated. I love computers and technology. Did I mention I'm also a Sailor Jedi?

I led a good childhood. I had a lot of friends, did well in school, and, all in all, was happy. I was raised alongside Kirin Yukiko, my "twin" couisin. WE were born on the same day (our mothers are twin sisters). It was always a joke between us and our families that she was two minutes older that I. But that all changed one night when I was seven. Mom and I were eating dinner when the phone rang. Mom answered it. "Hello?"

She almost dropped the receiver. "WHAT?!?!?! That's impossible! He can't... he can't be..."

I watched as Mom's face blanched and she trembled from head to toe. "Y-yes, I-I'll be right there." And she hung up.

"Mommy, what-"

But she was getting her coat. "Chibi-Miyu-" - that's what everyone called me then - "-I'm going somewhere. You'll have to stay by yourself for a while."

"NO!" I tugged at Mom's coat. My greatest fear was to be left alone. "Mommy, I want to go with you..."

"This isn't a sight for little kids to..." Mom sighed. "Oh, all right," she relented, picking me up.

On the way, Mom explained that Dad had been in an accident. There was something about the way she said "accident" - it was as if she wasn't telling the truth. But I didn't think about it.

We finally arrived at the hospital. Breathless, Mom said at the counter, "We're here to see Coren Shi-Gatsu."

"Friends or family?" the nurse inquired a bit rudely.

"I'm his wife, Kari, and this is his daughter, Miyuki."

The nurse arrogantly peered down at me. "Can you verify this?"

"I'm his WIFE!!!" Mom yelled, frantic. "Why would I lie to you about this?"

"It says here that - oof!" Mom had pushed the gate into the obnoxious nurse. "Come on, Chibi-Miyu," she said, grabbing my hand, and practically dragging me into the room.

We were in a hallway, and a nurse wheeling a cart came over. "Could oi help ye, dearrrrrrrre?" she inquired with a rich accent.

"Could you lead us to Coren Shi-Gatsu's room," Mom asked, "please?"

"Rrrrright this way, dearrrrrrrre."

The nurse took us down another hallway and into a room. I looked at the room door. It was labled "ROOM 214: INTENSIVE CARE."

Strange, I thought. 2/14, February 14, is my birthday! I went in.

On a stretcher, against one wall, was my dad. There was a mask on his face (for oxygen), bandages all over his body, and needles sticking out at odd angles and attaching to various containers.

Mom rushed to his side, and I followed.

"He's unconcious, dearrrrre," the nurse told us.

"Coren!" Mom cried out in agitation. "COREN!!!" She broke down. I was crying, too.

Then, Mom did something weird. She gripped the edges of the stretcher, closed her eyes, and - well - it was almost as if she thought what she said, only I could hear her. Coren!

Then, to my surprise, he responded. Kari. Even though he was unconsious, his hand took my mom's. Kari, can you hear me?

Mom's hand gripped Dad's tighter. Darth Syn, Coren?

Yes. Even though Dad hadn't said much, I could feel he had used, and was using, a lot of energy.

What happened? Mom asked in shock. What could he have done to you to make you like... this? Her eyes filled with tears again. It wasn't the Death Blade, was it?

No. We were dueling; he said he wanted to see me die in torture. For a while, we were matched in combat. We both delivered some pretty bad blows. Then- And Dad sighed again. I could feel he didn't want to talk about this. I could relate - I mean, who wants to talk about their death.

Death...

He delivered what I knew would be my death blow. I used the last of my strength to teleport to the hospital; I knew he'd kill me if I didn't. Dad took a deep breath. I could feel him weakening. No. This can't happen to my dad...

I could tell Mom was thinking the same thing. Coren, she wailed. Let me get the crystal, Coren. I'll heal you, and...

No. Dad's hand came up, briefly, weakly. My body is already dead: this will take too much of your energy. We need you to be strong, now most of all. For me, for Miyuki, for everyone, Kari. Here. Take this.

Dad took another deep breath and started to conjure something. His body was glowing blue.

Coren! Mom cried.

Suddenly, a silver cylinder, also glowing blue, appeared above Dad.

Your lightsaber, Mom said quietly. Your one joy. Coren...

Take it.

Mom was crying too hard to answer.

Kari, TAKE IT.

Still crying, Mom took the lightsaber, which glowed in her hands. Give it to Miyuki when she's old enough to know.

But Coren...why can't you?

Mom was still in denial of the dark truth.

Dad sighed. This is your duty. You are closer to Miyuki. She will understand you better. Mom nodded, tears still pouring down her face. Besides... can't you see I'm dying?

Coren... don't go yet. Mom's voice was choky. We have too much to do... too much unfinished buisiness... too much to live for... Coren...

Tell Miyuki I love her... I love you, too, Kari.

I could feel Dad's lifeforce receding further and further. The only person crying harder than me was Mom. I heard a last, faint word from Dad... the last thing I'd ever hear him say...

Goodbye...

The screen showing Dad's heart rate stopped.

"COREN!!!!!!" Mom shreiked, louder than I had ever heard anyone scream in my whole, seven-year life.

My "connection" with Dad faded and I felt a black void of nothingness.

Nothing.

"Coren... no..." Mom whispered. "Coren... NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"

I experienced another loss at age thirteen.

Dad's funeral had been on November 21, a week after he died, and all I had left were a few family pictures and a braid of my dad's red-orange hair.

I was walking down the hall of our house when I heard Mom scream. Being the most caring teen I could be, I went in. Mom's hands were clutching the sides of her bed. Her face was pale, and she was moaning. "Oh, no..."

I went over to sit next to her. "Mom... what's wrong?"

She wasn't listening. "Earthquake... Obhiro..."

I was instantly alert. "An earthquake? In OBHIRO?!? That's where..." A sudden flash of memory hit me. "That's where Aunt Kyri-lyn, Uncle Ryun, and Yuki-chan live!" Aunt Kyri-lyn is Mom's twin sister, Uncle Ryun is her husband, and Yuki is my "twin cousin".

Mom was still wailing. "Ryun... Yuki... Kyri-lyn..." Now she was rocking back and forth. "No... don't stay there... NO! GET OUT! There's an..." She suddenly stopped, and froze upright. I felt a sudden rush of despair from her. And there was something else... death...

"Ryun... Kyri-lyn... KYRI-LYN!!!!!"

Mom's body went limp, and she burst into tears. "Kyri-lyn... no... why did you leave me...?"

Comforting my mom, I asked the first question that popped into my mind: "I-is Yuki all right?"

Mom briefly reached out. "Y-yes..." We both sighed in relief. "Poor girl... poor Yuki... orphaned at her teens..." Tears filled Mom's eyes again. She looked at me and burst out, "Oh, Miyu-chan, you don't understand any of this but you're so understanding... I love you, Miyu-chan." Tears were pouring down her face, and mine, as she hugged me tightly.

"Oh, Miyuki...first Coren and now Kyri-lyn..." Hugging me even tighter, she whispered, "You're all I have left." * * * It's over now. My losses are all in the past. I'm sixteen now, and happy again. After her twin's death (which hit her kinda hard), Mom and I moved across Hiroshima. She changed her name to Aisuno Kori (meaning ice of ice - what an interesting name...) and mine to Aisuno Kori Miyuki. She puts her hair in an undone bun and I wear mine down. One day, Mom took me into our living room. I could tell she wanted to tell me something really important. We sat down across from each other. "Miyuki," Mom began. "I..." - she took a deep breath - "...really need to tell you this. I am..."

RING!!! RING!!!

Just at that moment, the phone rang. I did an anime collapse.

Mom answred the phone. A few minutes later, she reentered the living room.

"Miyuki, honey, I have to run off some copies. The local shop's not working, so I'll have to go to the far one. Will you come with me?"

I had nothing better to do. "Sure," I said, getting up. That was the decision that would change my life.

Once on the road, we did not encounter any traffic. "That's odd," Mom muttered, as an entire lane of traffic separated. Then, her head snapped up in a flash of recognition. She ran out of the car and yelled, "DARTH SYN!!!!"

A man with black hair dressed in all black appeared in front of Mom. "So we meet again, Kari," he said coyly, derisively. "Heh. You Aquarians are SO pathetic. I killed Coren - and now I'll kill YOU!!!!"

"NO!!!" Mom took out a blue sphere. It, glowing blue, emitted an icebeam. Darth Syn dodged it and appeared behind Mom, striking her hard with the blunt side of a sword blade.

I watched, fear in my eyes, when I felt something furry brush against my leg. I looked down and saw a small black cat at my feet.

"Hello, kitty," I said and scooped it up. As I petted it, I noticed that it had a white spot on its forehead, a white-tipped tail, white back paws and red front paws.

The sound of Mom's scream promptly brought my attention back to the battle. Darth Syn had Mom by the throat and was holding on with a steely grip.

"I'll give you one more chance, Kari," he was saying. "Come with me. Join the Sith. You'll lead a better life than you ever could have. This is your last chance..."

"No!" Mom cried, fighting Darth Syn's grip. "You killed Coren! I'll never join you! Never!"

"And so you shall die as well!" yelled Darth Syn, tightening his grip. "DEATH BLADE!" he screamed, activating a sword and pressing the tip to Mom's neck. Laughing maniacally, he dropped Mom to the ground.

On impulse, I flung the car door open and ran out to seer if Mom was okay (Even though I had a feeling she wasn't: "Death Blade"...ugh. How creeepy).

I ran over and knelt down next to my mother's body. I put my head down to her heart. What I heard made my own heart skip a beat.

Mom was dead.

I ran a finger along Mom's throat. There was a scar shaped like a crescent moon and a negamoon stuck together where Darth Syn had - I gulped - KILLED her.

For lack of anything better to do, I burst into tears. I was so upset, I din't notice Darth Syn, sniggering, cry out, "Death Blade!" and bring it down, aiming for my forehead.

I noticed the attack not a moment too soon. I, screaming, held my hands up to block the blade.

It went through my hands.

Of course, I knew that would happen. It was what happened next that REALLY surprised me.

I felt the blade make an impression on my forehead. I screamed in pain as a flower-shaped symbol flashed where Darth Syn's balde met my forehead. As it flashed, I put my hands down and the symbol faded, leaving a scar identical to that of my mom.

Darth Syn finally removed his blade as I sank to my knees. I knew I was going to the same fate as my mom. I looked at my hands. There was a hole in both of them. I watched in shock, horror, and fear as the hole closed up. Shocked, I traced the scar on my forehead - the mark of the Death Blade.

I was alive. I survived what had killed Mom.

"I'M ALIVE?!?!" I screamed in disbelief.

"Yes, you're alive," sneered a voice. I looked up to see Darth Syn, a smirk on his smug face. "Last member of the Aquarian Dynasty... yes, I should have known... Well, so long! We shall meet again." And he vanished.

I didn't know exactly how I got back home. It didn't matter. I didn't even know what happened to Mom - I didn't care. As far as I did care, she never existed. None of this - this LIFE - existed. I was ready to move on, to start fresh again.

"I am Aisuno Miyuki," I declared. "And I'm going to Tokyo!"

I was packing for my move to Tokyo when my eyes fell onto a picture on my desk. I felt a sudden rush of emotion overtake me as tears came to my eyes. The picture was of three people: a redheaded man, a dark-blue-haired woman, and a girl who looked like a smaller version of the woman. The man and the woman both had one arm around each other and one arm around the girl, who clutched their arms tightly. The woman's hair was down, falling to her waist, but the girl's hair was up in two shoulder-length braids.

Tears ran down my face as I analyzed the family. My family. Coren Shi-Gatsu? Kirin Kari? Aisuno Kori? Those names were all foriegn to me. I hardly knew who I was myself. My family had shattered. Dad... Mom... me...

A rush of fury flew through me, and I flung the picture onto the hard floor. The glass holding the picture together shattered, and the frame broke into a few pieces.

I stared at it for a while, not moving, not speaking. When I finally did speak, it was in a voice of ice.

"Your fault. It's all your fault. You left me..." Breathing heavily, I grabbed the picture, tore it into fourths, and stuffed it into my suitcase.

Kori, the cat I found, entered the room and meowed softly. Tears were running down my face.

"I'm ready, Kori," I said in a choky voice. "Let's go."

Kori and I hitchhiked to Tokyo. I made sure to buy a house (with my family's bank account money) near a high school - school would be my only life.

I took a good look at the house. Brick. Solid. Modern-style. Good, sturdy structure.

I took a deep breath and went in.

The next two years were the worst two years of my life.

I attended the local high school and did all my homework. I strived to be a model student, but out of school, I was depressed.

As I got closer to my eighteenth birthday, my depression turned to insanity. I blamed everyone but me for my problems. I blamed my parents. Why didn't Dad kill that Darth Syn guy? Why did Mom fight him? WHY DID THEY DIE?!?!?

I reclused further and further. Each day, my madness grew and my temper decreased. I snapped at anyone who so much as looked at me. Each day it was the same: I woke up, went to school, did my homework, and went back to sleep. When I wasn't in school, I was doing my homework, and when I wasn't doing my homework, I was sleeping. And every night, I had nightmares. Nightmares about my parents.

I started college but dropped out a few months into my second year.

Even Kori was no comfort, even though she tried to be. But one week before my nineteenth birthday, she went up to me when I was reading and licked my scar.

I suddenly felt lighter, happier. I put my book down and went to the local hairdresser's and asked them to cut my hair. My dark blue hair now fell just past my shoulders. But as soon as I got home, my dark mood returned. Stroking Kori, I fell onto my bed and went to sleep.

I was in a foggy area, and a woman was coming towards me. I heard a voice.

"Miyuki... Miyuki..."

The figure came closer. I could tell it was talking.

"Miyuki... Miyuki..."

"Who are you?" I screamed. "What do you want from me?"

The figure came into view. It was a woman. She was wearing a beautiful, elegant dress. The neckline-less bodice came around to the back and tied like a halter. It was made of green velvet, with a gold clasp in the center. Her sleeves attached to her bodice and ended in V's that partly covered her hands. They were dark green lace, outlined with gold. Her skirt was dark green silk and was covered with green and gold lace and sparkly sequins. She wore a jeweled leather belt to separate her top from her skirt. Her eyes were a warm honey brown, and her hair fell to her waist in soft golden waves. Her apple-green cape, which was attached to her wrists, fanned out behind her.

She smiled warmly and, with a musical voice, said, "I want nothing from you, dear child. Only to tell you your destiny."

My destiny? I wondered.

The woman smiled again. "I have been waiting for you, Aisuno Kori Miyuki."

I was shocked. "You know my name!"

"I know more about you than just your name, Miyuki. Watch." She pulled back her bangs to reveal that flower-shaped symbol I remembered - on HER forehead.

At that same moment, my scar began to burn. It felt like my head was splitting in two. My scar was glowing as well. The glows from our foreheads met, creating a brilliant explosion of light.

After the dust cleared, I looked up. The woman was still there. "What's going on here?" I demanded.

She responded with a light question of her own. "Have you ever heard of the Sailor Senshi?" she asked in an offhand way.

I made a face. I was obsessed with the Sailor Senshi, especially Sailor Mercury. "Yeeeeees... why?"

Again, she ignored my question. "Did anyone ever tell you," she inquired, her honey-colored eyes sparkling, "that they're real?"

That hit me hard. I was about to yell, "That's impossible!" when I remembered meeting a girl with wavy chesnut hair who introduced herself as Mako. I also remembered seeing a dead ringer for Ami at a hospital clinic.

I shut my mouth.

The woman smiled. "Do you know what Star Wars is?" she asked.

I raised an eyebrow. "Yeah..." I was obsessed with Star Wars, too. "Get real! Now you're gonna tell me that's real, too?"

She never ceased to shock me. "Yes." I stared in disbelief. "And the planets in the Star Wars Snickers galaxy..."

Snickers? Milky Way? "Oh, that is a BAD joke!" I burst out.

The woman looked at me with a glimmer of annoyance in her eyes. "Joke? That's the name of the galaxy, Miyuki! I don't make it up, I just tell it. Now, will you kindly let me continue?"

I blushed. "Sorry."

"As I was saying, the planets in this galaxy are protected by the Sailor Senshi, but the Snickers galaxy planets were unprotected."

"Excuse me, WERE?" I inquired.

The woman smiled softly once more. "There are senshi protecting those planets now. And you are one of them."

I sat up in bed, shocked.

Kori entered and jumped onto me. I stroked her gently.

"Kori," I told her. "I just had the weirdest dream. Do you think, maybe... it was...?" Kori meowed. I lookd down at her. In her emerald eyes was a honey-colored glimmer.

The next night, I dreamed that woman again. "You're probably wondering what Senshi you are," she said, smiling at me. "You are Sailor Aquaris, guardian of the planet Aquaris. Of course-" - and a distant look came into her eyes - "-KYRI-LYN's daughter was supposed to be Sailor Aquaris, as she's the older twin, but Kyri-lyn had to go to Hoth, fall in love, and make trouble for everybody, and now Yukiko's Sailor Hoth." She made a face.

"Yuki's a SAILOR SENSHI?!" I yelped in shock.

"Yes, Sailor Hoth," the woman said impatiently. "Daughter of Prince Ryun of Hoth and Jedi Knight Kyri-lyn."

"PRINCE Ryun?? And Aunt Kyri-lyn, a JEDI KNIGHT!?!?"

"Just like your own parents. Coren Shi-Gatsu, one of the best Dantooinian Jedi Knights ever..." And the woman's eyes misted over. "And Princess Kari, one of the fairest rulers Aquaris has ever known."

A sudden sadness struck me as she mentioned my parents, but my shock at finding out who they truly were overrode that. "DAD? A JEDI?!? And Mom, a princess?" That explained the lightsaber and the sphere-thing. For some reason, I wasn't as shocked by this as I shoukd have been. "How do you know all this?" I asked suspiciously, my eyes narrowing. "Who are you?"

The woman smiled sadly. "I am Guardian Hiroko, the ageless Eternal Guardian of Aquaris. I have been advising rulers and protectors of Aquaris before your earliest ancestors knew how to walk. I have a gift to give to you, Miyuki." She took out the blue ball Mom had used to battle Darth Syn. I didn't ask how she got it. "This is the Royal Aquaris Crystal. Here." She tossed it to me.

I "caught" the crystal an inch above my hands. "Cool. Is this, like, my transformation crystal?"

"Yes. Now hold it up and say -"

But I was saying the words with her. The crystal had ignited a power in me - a power I never knew I had.

"Aquaris - Force - POWER!! Make UP!!"

Ice waves came out of the crystal - MY crystal - and surrounded me, then went back into the crystal. A cool ice staff formed around my crystal, and I struck a pose.

I gasped. I was wearing a dark grey-blue and blue sailor fuku. I had dangling earrings with an A on the end and A's on my choker, skirt V, boots, and staff tip.

Guardian Hiroko smiled tearily. "Sailor Aquaris - welcome."

For the next few dreams, I practiced my attacks. They were: Aquaris Ice Waves Surround, Aquaris Ice-A Formation, Aquaris Crystal Force Healing, and Aquaris Crystal Blast.

Then, one day, Guardian Hiroko didn't tell me to transform. "Sometime this week," she said, "Sailor Yavin will come to get you - to take you to the Snickers Galaxy. The problem now is me. I need to guide you, but I can't just do it from your dreams."

After thinking for a while, I snapped my fingers. "I've got it! Can you, like, transfer yourself into my cat, Kori? You can gude me from her! I always wanted a talking cat..."

Guardian Hiroko hugged me. "That's a great idea, Miyuki."

Kori's tounge on my face woke me up.

I studied my kitty. She was - different, somehow. Like a diffeent aura around her. I coudn't quite place it...

Then I knew. She had the flower-shaped symbol of Aquaris on a white spot on her forehead.

And her eyes were the color of honey.

I was being held captive by a talking cat.

"HiroKO!" I stamped my foot impatiently. "It's getting late. I want to GO somewhere!"

My companion, a small black cat, shook her head. "Please, Miyu-sama? I KNOW she'll come today. I just KNOW it!"

"It's the end of the week! I've been waiting for THREE DAYS for this 'Sailor Yavin' to come! I'm leaving!" And I opened the door, failing to notice the blue glow surrounding Hiroko and the door - and paying for it.

"Owwwww!" I rubbed my nose as I thought, Mental note to self - Hiroko can create invisible, PAINFUL, ice barriers.

"Miyu-sama, I'm sorry, but I can't let you leave and miss Sailor Yavin!"

"And another thing, Hiro-san," I sighed, turning to face Hiroko. "WHY do you keep calling me Miyu-sama?"

"I told you, Miyu-sama, your mother was a princess, and there is no evidence for or against that you are her heir, and a princess as well."

I opened my mouth to reply, but just then, a ball of blackish-green light appeared.

I watched intently as the ball widened into a gate and a senshi in a red and yellow fuku stepped out. She looked a lot like Pluto, only with orange, red-tipped hair and hazel eyes. She even had a Time Staff.

"Whew," the senshi sighed, shaking her head. "Space travel. It kills ya." She winked at Hiroko, and extended a gloved hand to me. "Sailor Yavin. I take it you're the new senshi?"

I nodded and shook her hand. "Aisuno Kori Miyuki. Sailor Aquaris."

Yavin cocked her head at me. "Get your stuff, Suno-chan. We're going."

Suno-chan? No one had ever called me that before. Suno-chan. I like it.

I gathered my essential belongings in a dark blue suitcase, grabbed Hiroko, and, my crystal serenely floating beside me, turned to Yavin and said, "I'm ready."

Yavin re-opened the Time Gate. I stepped through, and Sailor Yavin followed and closed it behind me.

I was standing on some kind of lawn. I looked around for Sailor Yavin and found that she had detransformed.

Over the past few days, I realized that I could use what could only be the Force to do certain things, and now, where my Force-sensitivity felt so much more amplified, I reached out for Yavin's normal name. Ippin.

"Neeeeeeeeeeeew senshiiiiiiii!"

Two girls were running towards us. One was tall, and the other one looked about four. But they had identical pearlescent hair. The taller one had her hair down and blue skin, while the smaller one had her hair in heart-shaped odangoes, like Chibi-Chibi, and blue freckles.

"You guys are sisters, right?" I inquired.

The two girls looked at each other and simultaneously shook their heads and replied, "Uh-uhn."

"What??? You HAVE to be kidding! You look SO MUCH alike!"

"They're not sisters," panted a girl who had just run up. Her brown hair was in pointy odangoes like Chibi-Usa's. "New Senshi? I'm Chirudo Sutaru, aka Sailor Corellia, and this-" - she pointed to the younger girl - "-is my future daughter."

"Like Usagi and Chibi-Usa..." I murmured. "But - she looks NOTHING like you!"

Sutaru shrugged. "Well, she is."

"Nijihoshi Kusubana Chirudo's the name!" the little girl chirped. "Sailor Chibi Corellia!"

The taller girl grinned. "And I'm Kirana, or Sailor Omwat."

I grinned and ruffled Nijihoshi's hair. "I'm Aisuno Kori Miyuki, or Sailor Aquaris. It was nice meeting you."

"And this is the kitchen."

Ippin was giving me a tour of the Room Behind the Waterfall. We were just entering the kitchen, and three girls, with their backs to us, were already there.

"Chouko! Kairiku! Aisu!" snapped Ippin angrily. "How many times must we tell you NOT TO STEAL THOSE COOKIES???"

One of the girls walked over to us. She had dark brown hair in a braid to her thigh and sapphire eyes with an innocent glimmer. "We weren't STEALING them, Ippin. We asked our little devils, and they said it was okay." Leaving Ippin fuming, she turned to me. "New senshi? I'm Kouno Chouko, or Sailor Chibi Dantooine. Who are you?"

Kouno?? That name sounded familiar... "I'm Aisuno Kori Miyuki. Sailor Aquaris."

"Cookie?" Chouko asked sweetly. "There's plenty. We found a secret stash, and... uh..." Looking at something behind her, Chouko froze. "I'll... uh... see ya later!" And she ran off.

The next girl turned to me. Her sandy-blonde, red-striped hair was up in two Gungan-eye odango. "I'm Shicchi Kairiku, and Sailor Chibi Naboo." She had chocolate smears on her upper lip. "I LOVE chocolate chip cookies!" Then she, as Chouko had done, paled, said, "Uhm...bye!" and shot off.

The third girl had silver eyes and ice-blue hair that was up in two buns with ponytails sticking out of them. As soon as she saw me, she ran at me, calling, "Auntie Miyu!"

In a flash of the Force, I knew this was my future cousin.

"Aisu! It's great to see you!"

"You too, Auntie Miyu." Then, seeing someone behind me and calling, "Talk to you later, Auntie Miyu!" she left.

I heard laughter behind me and turned.

Three girls were standing next to Ippin. The first one, with purple-streaked pink hair in a braid like Chouko's, stepped up. "Hi, Miyuki. My name is Rene Shootingstar, or Sailor Dantooine. I'm the future mom of Chouko."

So that's why Chouko ran, I thought.

The next girl had dark blue hair in a bun. "I'm Kyoko, the leader and Sailor Naboo. Mom of Kairiku."

I saw another girl - and knew who it was instantly.

Ice blue eyes. Ice blue hair in a bun.

"YUKI!" I cried.

She turned. "MIYU!"

We hugged.

I was putting the family picture I had ripped up in my room when a heard a knock on my door. "Come in."

In came my new friend, Mika Kaipi, or Sailor Yavin IV. "Can I try something, Kori?" she asked.

"Uhh... sure..."

"Thanks. AQUARIS SENSHI CAT POWER!"

A blue light fllashed as I realized I was...

"YAAAAAH!! A CAT?!?! Mika, WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?!?!"

Just then, Yukiko entered. "Mika, Miyu-ahh! Who are YOU?"

I sighed. "It's me, Yuki."

"Oh. Well, uh... Kyoko, Chouko and I are going shopping. You two wanna come?"

"Yeah!" Mika and I chorused.

"But first," I said, "TURN ME BACK!!!!"

"Ohhhh," groaned Kyoko. "I'm BUSHED."

"I know what you mean," replied Yukiko, slinging Kyoko's arm around her shoulder.

Chouko, Mika, and I had really run the two blue-haired girls ragged. Kyoko and Yukiko had a time dragging me from the Borners Bookstore and Bittirs Cheesecake Factory, Chouko from the Ren & Grerry's Ice Cream Factory and Pizza Hutt, Mika from a pet shop cat display, and all of us from the Limdt Chocolate Factory. Also, Yukiko had to bodily block Mika from entering Eller & Blasworth's China Shop.

Now, Mika was "ooh-ing" and "ahh-ing" over pet products in one of the department stores, Chouko and I were, of course, tireless and talking over clothes, and Kyoko and Yukiko were supervising.

"Miyu-chan! That skirt looks really cute!"

"You think?" I had a plaid orange and white skirt on and twirled around.

"Buy it. Buy it NOW." A plastic blue headband and purse set caught Chouko's eye, and she put on the headband, slung the purse over her shoulder, and posed. "Well?"

I nodded. "Yes. A definite yes."

"Wheee! Isn't shopping fun?" Geri cried, swinging on a coat hanger while a confused Emi and an angry Ariel watched.

"No," snapped Emi. "Stop being such a total nutcase!"

"C'mon, you two." Ariel stepped in. "We're here to gather energy, remember?"

Geri giggled. "Alright."

And in a few seconds, Sailors Sith Ayameru, Sith Eimin, and Sith Iyagaru stood there.

Yukiko sighed. She was a martial artist, and her bones were trained to be strong, but even so, her muscles were aching from chasing her two friends and me all over the mall.

Meanwhile, Chouko was trying to get me to buy a new scrunchie.

"Why won't you let me buy it, Miyu-chan?"

"Well, Chouko, a few days before I came to this universe, my mother appeared to me in a dream. She told me that, in order to keep my family memories in check, I'd need to clip a braid of her hair, Dad's hair, and my hair inside her scrunchie and to wear it at all times." Miyuki paused to finger her ponytail. "This is it. I only let my hair down when I'm sleeping, to dream about my parents, and when I'm swimming, because, being from Aquaris, I have a connection with water and it relaxes me."

Chouko sniffed. "That's sweet!"

Just then, my cat, Hiroko, and Chouko's cat, Pinku, ran up to them.

"Attack! Attack, attack!" squeaked the pink kitten as Chouko tried - and failed - to calm her.

"Sailor Sith attack in Bold Lavy!" Hiroko explained.

"The Sailor Jedi are on the case!" came from Mika, Kyoko, and Chouko as they ran in the direction of Bold Lavy. Yukiko grabbed me and ran after them. "I was a bit scared at my first battle, too. Let's go!"

"Naboo Force Power!"

"Chibi Dantooine Power!"

"Yavin IV Force Power!"

"Hoth Force Power!"

"Aquaris Force Power!"

"Make UP!"

"Hahahaha! Kendra will be pleased to have so much energy!" cackled Sailor Sith Ayameru, holding up a black sphere.

"Hold it!"

Ayameru turned to see five girls and two cats.

"I am the senshi of Friendship and Butterflies, Sailor Chibi Dantooine! For disrupting our shopping trip, I will punish you!"

"In the name of Cats and the Clumsy, I, Sailor Yavin IV, will stop you!"

"I am Sailor Hoth, protector of the innocent, warrior against the darkness. In the name of my planet, I will stop you!"

"I'm Sailor Aquaris, and... uh... I'm a newbie, so I don't have anything to say." The others sweatdropped. "But I'm gonna punish you, so beware!"

"And I'm Sailor Naboo, the leader. We shall punish you, in the name of good!"

"Hah! That's what You think!" Ayameru raised the sphere. "Awaken, my youma Honii-Ringo!"

A yellow light flashed, and a youma that looked like an apple with sticks for arms and legs and a straw for a tail appeared.

"Bonjour. I am Honii-Ringo. Do not underestimate me." The youma had an annoying sing-song tone to its voice. "And now you will see why. Whee!!" She squirted honey onto us.

"Yechhh! Sticky!" whined Chibi Dantooine. "Hearts of Fire!"

"Yowch! You burned a hole in me! HEY!" Honii-Ringo turned onto Yavin IV, who had shot at her with Yavin IV Jungle Blast. Honii Ringo retaliated by flinging a storm of apples at Yavin IV.

"Ouch!" Picking up the apple that had hit her on the head, Yavin IV bit into it. "Mmmmm, gala!"

Honii-Ringo turned on the others, but they were ready. Chibi Dantooine had freed them (and the cats) with Hearts of Fire, and they were MAD.

"No one squirts honey on us and gets away with it! Hoth Blizzard..."

"Aquaris Crystal..."

"Jewel of Zenda..."

"BLAST!!!!"

The combined force of the three blasts blew up Honii-Ringo and sent Ayameru through a black hole portal.

"So, how does it feel to finish your first battle, Miyuki?" Kyoko asked as we powered down.

"It feels like those Sith are gonna be a pushover if they keep giving us pathetic youmas like THAT!" I laughed.

"Don't be so sure," warned Yukiko. "They have a lot of darkness on their side."

"But we'll think about that later," said Chouko, and the five of us walked off.
