The White Knight

By Chigiri Miharu/Shiroi Knight and Annika Nesicha/Sailor Bakura

"You can’t be serious," the red haired girl said. She stood with her long arms folded in front of her, her face held a smirk that told anyone who looked, not to mess with her. She raised her eyebrows at his silence.

The man standing in front of her smiled gloriously, his blue eyes twinkling. "I’m always serious."

"Then I guess we’ve got a problem."

"You’re right, we do."

An impatient girl standing next to the redhead whispered, "How much longer are going to be here, Coru?"

"Until he backs down, Mika." Her voice was almost stern. The man in question leaned against the pale brick wall.

"In other words, Mika," he smirked, "you’re going to be here a while. Just so you know, I have no intention to back down. You, on the other hand, will be letting me pass."

"Oh I will, will I?"

"For Force sake, Coru! Just move and let him go!" an even more impatient Priire spat at her sister.

"Absolutely not! This guy shows up, out of nowhere…granted he helped us, but I am not letting him leave until he tells us who he is! And just what exactly he thinks he’s doing." Sailor Yavin was tough when she needed to be and stubborn all the time, and if this guy wanted a staring contest, he would get one. The Senshi standing with her rolled their eyes.

A loud crash distracted Yavin and she looked away giving the stranger an opportunity to flee.

"Wha-? What happened?!?" she asked very disturbed. She scanned the senshi, until her eyes fell on a very guilty looking Kairiku. Laying at her feet was what remained of a nearby pitcher. Its shattered pieces reflected the image of a quite angry Sailor Yavin.

"Oops," she muttered.

"Oops? Oops! Chibi Naboo, I could Force-strangle you right now! We had him, he was caught! Now, he’s gone," she said flinging her hands onto her hips and moving an arrant strand of hair from her eyes.

"Well, I’m sorry Ippin, but I have to use the little girl’s room and my feet hurt!" the girl wailed.

Mumbling something in Huttese, she led the group of girls back to the Prism.

"On the bright side, we did save an entire planet from the Sailor Sith," Sailor Chandrila offered, but Ippin was having none of it.

"We do that all the time! This guy just annoys me. Why can’t he follow Tuxedo Jedi’s example?"

The girls all sighed.

Things were looking more and more familiar to Miharu as he sat drinking this planet’s equivalent of coffee. The various planets he had visited, the people he had met, the villains he defeated…he felt like he was finally where he belonged. Now, as he took another sip of his drink, he picked up the water colour pencils and began filling in the details on his latest picture. He was working for a publishing company based on Coruscant that specialised in products based on none other than the Sailor Jedi. He had already created calendars, posters, card decks, and even a wall mural for an ambassador from Corellia.

He had been following them, the Sailor Jedi, for months. And right now, sat across from a table full of them. They were so popular, more so than Jedi. Songs had been written about and for them, people pledged their undying love for them, and there were even fan clubs across the universe. And here they sat, with passers-by completely unaware of their presence.

He recognised the girl in the last seat as Fuukoo Ippin, Sailor Yavin. She was suspicious of him and was determined to uncover his secrets. The girl next to her, Sejoutai Priire, Sailor Asteroid, ex-mercenary and one hell of a pilot. Sitting next to her was Megami Hisui, Sailor Vjun. She was sure of her destiny and looked forward to its coming, even though she knew it meant her life as a Sailor wouldn’t be a long one. Then there was Annika Nesicha, Sailor Bakura, a princess so full of love that any force-sensitive could sense her a mile away. She also happened to be the inspiration for his latest drawing.

"So anyway, Solai got himself completely wrapped up in the wires!! He fell and pulled down half of the table!" Priire laughed. "And poor Schylar almost fainted!" They all laughed.

The bell over the door rang, and Yuki and Chikako walked in. Chikako noticed a man she thought was Kousotsu, drawing a picture at a close table. She crept up behind him and glanced over his shoulder. She was amazed at how good of an artist he was, then she realised this man was not Kousotsu.

"What are you doing?" Chikako yelled at him. "Why are you drawing pictures of my friend?" She snatched the book from him and flipped through the pages, seeing image after image of various Sailor Jedi. The group of girls at the other table came over to look at the book, their mouths falling open. All the pages were signed with the initials, C.M.

"C.M?" Yukiko wondered. She pulled Ippin over to the side and whispered, "That’s the guy! That’s the guy who draws all those pictures of us!"

Ippin gasped. "Why is he here now? Does he know who we are?" Yukiko shrugged her shoulders.

Priire walked over holding the book; it was open to a very interesting picture. "Coru, look at this," she said to her twin sister. The blonde held out the book. Ippin grabbed it when she saw the picture. It was her, standing in a hallway with her arms folded. Other Senshi stood around her looking frustrated, and a mischievous Kairiku held a glass pitcher in her hands.

"No way," Hisui said, "How could he possibly know that happened? Unless…"

Turning around to face him they noticed he had vanished again. Ippin stomped her foot, "Sith! Sithspawn, Sithspit, Son of a Sith!!!" Her face was red and Yuki could have sworn she saw steam shooting from her ears.

Annika blushed and Hisui tried to calm down her red headed friend to no avail.

Ariel was bored. She was flipping Sailor Jedi playing cards into a fire while Emi supervised the workers. The Sith had a small, underground, and very illegal mining organisation on Naboo. The Naboo had only bare defences which allowed the Sith to carry on unnoticed. In a few years after the natural recourses were tapped out, they’d leave Naboo a dried up dead planet. Of course, they’d make a fortune selling their spoils. Kendra had sent them here as a punishment for letting the Sailor Jedi get away yet again.

"So, how long do we have to wait here? I’m starving," Ariel said over her shoulder to her Sith cohort.

Emi snarled, "Who knows? Let’s just go, Kendra will never find out."

They decided to eat at a place called Gungan King. They stood at the counter and stared at the menu. "Gungan loaf? Otoh Gunga burgers and fried Naboo plants? What kind of restaurant is this?" Ariel spat at the woman behind the register.

"Where’s the nerf sandwiches and Opie fish fillets?" Emi asked, her anger rising.

"Oh, I’m sorry ladies, this is a vegetarian restaurant."

Emi and Ariel’s mouths slowly dropped open and their eyes narrowed. "Vegetarian?!?" they yelled in unison. "Oh that’s it," Ariel yelled. Within seconds she had transformed into Sailor Sith Ayameru and Emi transformed into Sailor Sith Eimin. "Black Hole Engulf!" Eimin yelled. The woman behind the counter screamed as she ran out of the way.

Kairiku had her mouth full of Gungan loaf when she heard the scream. "What was that?" she mumbled.

Annika ran over to see what the commotion was when she spotted the two Sith laughing and destroying the restaurant. Paper napkins and sporks were flying everywhere.

"Kairi-chan! Sailor Sith, let’s transform now!" They ducked into the girls bathroom-

"Gungan Force Power…"

"Bakura Force Power…"

"MAKE UP!"

Sailor Chibi Naboo and Sailor Bakura strutted into the main hall of the restaurant.

"Stop right there! For Love and Peace, I am the sailor suited pretty soldier, Sailor Bakura!"

"And I am Sailor Chibi Naboo!"

"On behalf of Bakura, Naboo, and the universe, we’ll punish you!"

Eimin and Ayameru looked at each other and doubled over laughing. "Oh we’re really scared, you senshi brats."

Chibi Naboo and Bakura both prepared to attack, but a tap on Sailor Bakura’s shoulder changed things. She turned around and came face to face with the woman who stood behind the counter. She woman smiled and her form dripped off to reveal Sailor Sith Vortex.

Vortex grabbed Sailor Bakura by the neck.

"Gungan Blue Ball-," Sailor Chibi Naboo began…

"I don’t think so, you brat," Ayameru said, restraining the small girl.

"You’re not getting out of this one this time! There’s no one here to save you!" No sooner had Vortex spoke those words, than a single white rose struck her in the hand. "Ouch!" she yelled, dropping Sailor Bakura to the ground. Everyone looked up and saw a figure cloaked in black, wearing a white mask and top hat. It was the same man Ippin wanted to kill, the same man that they met a few months ago when they faced the Sith Queen Kendra. He had departed quickly then, but this time he stood proudly, looking down upon them.

"A vegetarian is a person who cares deeply for animals, and you soil this place with your presence. Like a bowl of spilled milk, you are nothing to cry over!" he said.

Chibi Naboo and Sailor Bakura exchanged bizarre looks and held their hands up to shrug their shoulders. The man saw this and explained, "I’m working on my phrases, give me a break."

"Look, we’re kind of busy here, so if you don’t mind…" Eimin said gesturing toward the door.

"Sailor Bakura, use your wand," Chibi Naboo whispered.

"Right," Bakura held the wand to her heart, "Bakura Eternal Make up!" The white haired girl transformed again, this time sprouting grand white wings. She struck a pose, and held her wand high in the air. "Bakura Eternal Heart Dream!" Pink light surrounded the Sailor Sith. They fell to the ground, all their energy instantly drained.

Chibi Naboo stepped over the slumped bodies of the sleeping Sith and marched over to the mysterious man.

"OK, so who are you anyway?"

He laughed, "I’m the Shiroi Knight."

"Oh. Okay. Are you one of us?" she asked.

"Yes." They looked over to see Annika helping hurt people and knocking over things with her wings. "Sorry, oh sorry. Sorry!" she kept saying.

"Will you join us, Shiroi Knight?"

"I might, Kairi-chan."

"What? How did you know…"

The Shiroi Knight put a finger to his lips and de-transformed. Chibi Naboo was stunned to see the man who they confronted earlier. The man who they determined was the mysterious artist.

"My name is Chigiri Miharu."

Chibi Naboo smiled and looped her arm around his. "I’m glad you’re on our side. It would be a shame if Ippin killed you."

"Do you really think she would have?"

Chibi Naboo looked at him sceptically, "You don’t know her. She might have," she laughed. Sailor Bakura walked over and got a quick explanation from her young friend.

"Well, at least we know you’re not one of them," she said pointing to the groggy Sailor Sith. They were starting to regain their strength. "Speaking of them, what do we do with them?"

"Let’s call Obi-Wan, he’ll know."

"Yes, let’s call Obi-Wan!" Bakura squealed while jumping up and down.

"Do you always hop around like a rabbit?" Miharu asked.

"What’s a rabbit?"

Not one of them noticed when large black holes opened under each of the downed Sith, swallowing them. "How could they have disappeared? There wasn’t another Sith here! They couldn’t possibly have opened the boltholes!" Miharu said.

"The only way that could happen is if someone was watching them through the Force, then opened the holes using the Force," Chibi Naboo explained, "but Kendra doesn’t have that kind of power. Only a Sith Lord would have that much Force energy."

They looked at each other with worried faces.
