Tashita's Rough Day

Written by Seijoutai Priire/Sailor Asteroid

The green-haired girl sighed. "What happened this time?"

Priire rubbed the newest bruise on her rear. "It was Suta's fault."

The odango-head looked surprised. "My fault? You're the one who left the dressing out."

"You weren't supposed to throw it!"

It took Sailor Pluto a few minutes to figure out why the pair had been banished to the dimensional gates by Priire's twin sister. Apparently, Priire had concocted a vinegar-based dressing, and Suta had thrown it at Ippin. The vinegar had reacted badly with Ippin's flaming hair, turning it a dull shade of... mousy brown. Ippin was not pleased.

"Since we're here," Suta smiled. "Do you think, maybe...?"

Pluto smiled. "Sure."

Suta's eyes were huge. "You want to see how fast we can eat a Super-Double-Stupendous-Chocolate-On-Chocolate-Super-Sized sundae?"

"You're on!"

The two girls had their hands full trying to get to the park with the giant sundaes. They didn't notice that most of the park's patrons scurried off as they sat down at a picnic table. The only people - other than themselves - enjoying the calm park were a young brunette under a tree, a toddler picking flowers and an old woman.

"On your mark... get set... GO!" Suta yelled.

The girl sitting under the tree lifted her brown eyes. She had the oddest feeling that something wasn't right. With a shrug, she turned back to the drawing she'd been working on. The stillness of the park was the best place, she'd found, to pursue her creative interests.

That was, of course, before Sutaru and Priire came to town.

After the pair finished their ice cream (Suta won the race), the two girls decided to play a mutilated form of kickball. Priire had liberated the ball from a tree.

The old woman's ears caught the sound of Priire and Sutaru's laughter. Her eye rested on the pair and glowed faintly. "Such power..." the woman whispered. "Such energy..."

Priire shouted at Suta to pass her the ball. Suta tried her best to pass it to the other girl but missed, sending the ball into a nearby pond. Amid laughter and much splashing, Suta fished it out. The soaking wet ball was back into play... unfortunately.

"Whoo hoo!" Priire yelled as she sent the ball soaring. "Uh oh!" she yelled as it landed right in the brown-haired girl's lap, ruining the picture she'd been drawing.

"What did you do that for?" the brunette shouted, standing up to confront the blonde.

Priire's eyes narrowed. "Don't yell at me."

"I will if I want to," the other girl responded angrily.

Taking a step closer to the brunette, Priire growled, "No, you won't."

Both women paused, and Priire had to resist a temptation to put a hand to her head. Instead, she turned the motion in to a reach for the blaster that hung on her hip. Something about this confrontation was familiar. Like she and this brunette had argued before. The blonde shook the feeling off.

Suta pushed Priire backwards. "No blasters," the odango-head muttered under her breath. Louder, the little girl told the taller women to back off. "We don't need a fight."

"Too bad," the brown-eyed brunette started.

"Because you have one!"

Priire and Suta turned and their eyes went wide with surprise. "A youma!" Suta gasped.

The old woman from the bench had transformed into a six-foot lizard with glowing yellow eyes.

"Like today wasn't already wasted!" the brown-eyed brunette yelled. "All I wanted was a calm place to relax and draw!" Anger flashed in her dark eyes.

Suta grabbed Priire's arm and dragged her behind a bush where they could transform. "Suta," Priire whispered. "I have a strange feeling about this girl."

"Shake it off. We've got some butt to kick!"

"And this is for ruining my nice calm day!"

Sailor Asteroid raised an eyebrow. "Maybe we ought to hang up our suits," she joked dryly. "If a non-senshi can take on a youma..."

There was a pause as they watched the brunette spin-kick the giant lizard. The reptile was apparently tired of the woman pounding it into the ground. With a swipe of its giant tail, the reptile bashed its opponent into a tree. She slumped down. Sailor Corellia ran over to make sure that the girl was still alive while Sailor Asteroid posed.

"I am the Dark Sailor of the Stars! Sailor Asteroid, senshi of stone, defense, and redemption... and I'm going to go Hawkbat on your six, baka!"

The lizard looked confused for a moment. "Huh?"

"She's going to beat you up!" Corellia translated. "And I - Sailor Corellia, senshi of magic and the Force - am going to help her!"

"Starfire Surround!"

"Crystal Shower!"

The light from the gleaming stars reflected on the crystals as the two attacks merged. The crashed as one into the lizard and destroyed it.

"They don't grow them like they used to!" Corellia giggled. "Hey, she dropped her sketchbook." The teen flipped through the pages and stared in awe at the drawings. "Look! It's a Sailor!"

Asteroid wandered over. "What kind of ship? One of those big, wood sailing vessels?"

Sailor Corellia shook her head. "No... a senshi."

Looking up at Corellia from where she was kneeling beside the brunette. "A... senshi?"

The brunette nodded. "Looks like it. I wonder..."

At that point, the brunette shook her head groggily, muttering something about having a weird dream. "I saw girls dressed like..." The brunette opened her eyes and looked Sailor Asteroid over. "Like you."

"What a coincidence," Corellia giggled. She stretched, then froze with her eyes on the drawing. She suddenly saw the life-like sketches moving... fighting... they turned into real people. Corellia grinned. "You're a Sailor!"

The brunette raised an eyebrow. "No. I'm Tashita."

"Tashita... you're a Sailor Senshi! Like us!" Corellia pointed at herself and her companion.

Tashita laughed. "You're crazy. You two are just obsessed Sailor Moon fans."

"Say 'Eclipse Star-Force Power!'" Corellia instructed. "Come on!"

The other girl shook her head, scattering the locks in her ponytail. She put her hands over her ears. "You're insane. Saying 'Eclipse Star-Force Power' won't do anything."

The strange feeling asserted itself again in Asteroid's head as she watched Tashita transform. She shook her head, trying not to laugh. "Sailor Eclipse, I presume?" the blonde grinned, looking over the girl's black and gray fuku.

Tashita opened her eyes and stared in surprise at her now-gloved hands and otherwise Sailor-suited self. "This is impossible!"

"Welcome to the world of the Star Wars Sailor Senshi... where 'impossible' is standard fare!" Corellia exclaimed.

"Star Wars?"

Asteroid nodded. "We're from the Star Wars Galaxy where we protect the galaxy from evil in the form of Sailor Sith, Dark Nights, and dirty senator jokes."

Corellia snickered. "Did you hear the one about..." She composed herself. "Uh, anyway. We got banished here - temporarily - because Asteroid's twin sister is a hothead."

"Am not!"

The ondago-ed brunette blanched and turned. "Uh, h... hi, Ippin..."

The fire-haired Sailor glared at Asteroid and Corellia. "I have half a mind to just leave you here!"

"As opposed to where?" Sailor Eclipse asked, turning all attention back to her.

After everyone had been introduced and de-transformed, Ippin agreed to take the trio home. Priire laughed as she jumped through the Time Gate after Tashita. Finding a new senshi on Earth was a great way to get back at Ippin for banishing them. If only she could get rid of the uneasy feeling in her gut.
