The Silence of the Stars

Written by Seijoutai Priire/Sailor Asteroid

Who can see the stars?
Who can view their bright affect?
None can behold them
So their secrets stay kept.

Who can hear the stars?
Who listens to their sound?
There isn't any person
Not one can be found.

Yet one can somehow see them
And one can hear their song.
She beholds their beauty
She listens to them long.

She belongs to the stars
She'll in their bosom rest,
Breathing in their essence
They are what she loves best.

What if her eyes were closed?
What if she couldn't see?
Such secrets as they held
Lost forever, they'd be.

What if she couldn't hear?
What if 'twas gone from her?
She'd lose the time-true song
As the quiet grew even longer.

Hollow eyes cannot believe
The stars lost to her touch
She can't see why they've gone,
Can innocence mean that much?

She knew not innocence
Or didn't think she did.
Until a future can of worms
Offered off its lid.

Who can she now run to?
Who dare to understand?
She doesn't know what they'll do
To her — the unfaithful one.

Who will care to listen to her?
Who will hear her tale?
Not even her stars above
Will grant her forgiveness well.

Their silent forms in the sky
Piercing its black mask.
If they hear her desperate please
They'll not do as she asks.

Their silence on her deadened ears
Causes her to ponder,
If perhaps her kingdom is a cruel one...
They'll laugh as she's dragged under.

How can she live now?
And how can she even breathe?
For what hasn't even happened yet
It causes her so hard to grieve.

How can she ever confess?
Or ever look him in the eye?
She — so sure she changed —
Now finds it all a lie.

In confession there is forgiveness,
In forgiveness a way to heal.
First she must accept this,
She must take it all as real.

When she has accepted it
And knelt, ready for love to die
She is forced to her feet
To confront the lie...
