Dreams and Memories

By Kirana/Sailor Omwat and Annika Nesicha/Sailor Bakura

Kirana knew that she was different from anyone else. Not just her ethereal looks- waist-length pearlescent hair, pale blue skin and deep indigo eyes. She knew she really was different, in another way, a special way. She would soon find out why...

"Kirana!" her mother called. "Time to do the dishes!" Kirana HATED doing the dishes, but she had to. "All right, Mom," she said in her beautiful, musical voice.

As she did her chores, Kirana lost herself in a daydream. Suddenly a flash of something cut through her peaceful thoughts. She saw a beautiful, blue palace, shrouded in mists. "My dear Kirana," a male voice whispered,"please come back to us..." She jumped, and her head cleared. What was that? she wondered, perplexed.

When her chores were done, she went for a walk outside. "Hey, Kirana!" cried her best friend, Lily. Lily was a nice, understanding girl who was always ready to help someone in trouble. She smiled, her green eyes shining brightly. "What's up?" she asked.

Kirana decided to tell her about what she saw. "In my daydreams I saw this weird castle, and this guy told me to 'come join us' or something. And the weirdest part was that it felt like deja-vu!"

Lily shook her head, her short, blond hair falling around her face. "It's just your active imagination," she insisted. But Kirana knew it wasn't.

That night, she couldn't fall asleep. Her thoughts were full of that blue misty palace.

Finally she fell asleep. "Kirana," called the male voice she'd heard earlier. Kirana couldn't see anything through the thick mist. "Andrien," she cried. Wait... how did she know his name?

Suddenly the mist disappeared and a gorgeous guy appeared. His black hair streaked with blond tumbled down his forehead into his slate grey eyes. "Hello,Kirana," he said softly.

The room began to spin, and Kirana saw the back of a woman. She had pearlescent hair like Kirana that flowed past her feet and onto the floor. Her dress was made of a gauzy, beautiful fabric.

She turned around abruptly. What Kirana saw made her scream, an Earth-shattering scream that shook the whole room. Instead of a face, the woman had a deteriorating skull. "This is what will happen if you don't help us," she said.

She waved her hand over her face and it changed. Instead of the grotesque skull, her face was beautiful and pale blue. She had kind violet eyes. "You changed!" cried Kirana. She looks like me! Kirana thought.

"I am Clovetra," she said. "This is my real face." "You must help us to defeat the evil," she continued. "You must defend Omwat."

What's Omwat? Kirana wondered. And what evil?

Clovetra picked up a purple velevet satchel and took out a stone. It was clear and bumpy. She closed her delicate blue hand over it and dropped it into Kirana's own blue hand. It turned to a fine powder. She looked up. "Hey-" she began. Clovetra raised her hand. "Blow on it," she instructed. Kirana blew on the dust and it turned to a pink pearl.

"Keep this," instructed Clovetra,"You will need it to change into Sailor Omwat. You see, you were a princess in a past life- the princess of Omwat. Now you must help to defeat the dark side!"

There's that Omwat again! thought Kirana. "What do you MEAN?!" she cried, but Clovetra was fading into the darkness. "Say 'Omwat Power' and it will transform you to Sailor Omwat," Clovetra said before she was gone completely. "You will find out more soon..." "Don't be afraid," said Andrien's voice.

Kirana woke up with a jolt. "What a weird dream!" she said aloud. Her cat, Minnie, stirred at her feet. "OH MY GOSH!" she cried.

Sitting on the bedside table was the pink pearl.

Kirana picked up the pearl that lay on the table. She couldn’t believe it, how could this be possible? The dream, was it real? It had to be real, she thought, because she was holding the pink pearl. She remembered every detail of the dream, and it still confused her.

She got out of bed and got dressed. She tossed the pearl into her backpack and started on her way. Her school was always crowded, and she needed a break, so before the first bell rang, she ducked into the girl’s bathroom. The stalls were all empty, so she locked the door behind her. She took a deep breath before noticing her backpack was now much heavier. It must be the pearl, she thought.

"Hey! Who’s in there, open the door!," a girl yelled from the other side of the door. She pounded on the door, "I’m telling the principal!" Kirana didn’t want to get in trouble, but the dream she had that night was haunting her. It took over her thoughts and emotions. She got dizzy and grabbed onto the sink. What was happening to her? The knock came back, "Open the door, right now, or I’m serious, I’m telling the teacher!"

Kirana caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. She gasped. A strange symbol was glowing on her forehead. First the dream and the pearl, now this, what next.

A voice blew through her ears, "Use the pearl, you know what to do." That voice, it was the voice of Andrien, the man from her dream. She sifted through books and loose paper to find the small round object laying on the bottom.

"What was it I was supposed to say," she wondered. Her purse fell to the floor, spilling its contents. "Was it, Omwat Power…"

The next thing she knew, she was standing in a strange pose. She felt different, better, whole. For the first time in her life she knew what her purpose in life was. The dream she had made sense, she had to get to Omwat, it was her home planet. She didn’t even bother to scoop up the mess on the floor. She turned around and saw herself in the mirror.

"What?!? What is this?," she scanned her reflection. She was wearing a weird outfit that was quite revealing. It looked good on the attractive girl, and she smiled. Her elation was short lived as the mirror started to boil. The glass bubbled and expanded. Her image wavered as the mirror continued its strange movements. Kirana backed up. A hazy figure began to appear on the glass’s surface. She had long pink hair and she snarled at the site of the scared girl. A long white hand rippled from inside the mirror and grabbed Kirana by the hair. She screamed as she was pulled into the mirror.

She was weightless, and all time seemed suspended. She was moving in slow motion, the only thing she felt was the cold hand wrapped around her hair. The warm feeling of the nothingness that surrounded her was broken by a sharp sting of bitter cold air and a harsh landing. The woman with pink hair was greeted by four other ominous looking women.

"I’ve got one!," she said excitedly. The other girls grinned in approval.

"Nice try, but you’re not getting away with this! Drop that girl and prepare to be destroyed! I am Sailor Vjun and I won’t allow you to hurt that girl!"

The pink haired woman growled and then smiled at the Sailor Senshi. She threw Kirana at Sailor Vjun and quickly opened a bolt hole. She and the other Sith disappeared into the blackness. Kirana’s vision was hazy and she could barely make out what was happening. All she could remember was that she had to get home to Omwat.

"Are you all right," Sailor Vjun asked.

"Omwat…I have to get home to Omwat," Kirana whispered.

"Check this out! Two new sailors in two days! I think that’s a record baby," said a cat that came strutting up behind Sailor Vjun.

"You must be Sailor Omwat. My name is Megami Hisui, also known as Sailor Vjun!," she struck a pose and smiled. Sailor Omwat tried to sit up but was too dizzy.

"You’ve got dimension sickness, it happens the first time you travel through the time gates, don’t worry, it’ll pass. Come on! I’ll help you back to the ship." She leaned down and helped the girl stand.

"Ship? What ship? Where are we going?"

"Oh don’t worry, you’ll be fine! It will all be explained to you."
