As Kira walked down the road, she kept thinking about Ami. The more she thought about it, the more she realized Ami had been avoiding her since she told her her "secret."
When Kira walked into her home, she sensed something wasn't right. Her mother called, "Kira honey, come into the den, won't you?" As Kira walked carefully into the den, her mother and father were quietly conferencing with each other. They stopped and turned in her direction as she stepped through the doorway.
"Koujou," her father said. This can't be good, thought Kira. He hasn't called me by my real name for as long as I can remember. He only says it when he's upset. "We got a letter from your school," he continued. "Apparently someone informed your principal that you are homosexual, and you are therefore being expelled from Madam Preston's School For Girls."
"Ami, I can't believe you told!" Kira whispered under her breath.
"Honey, you know that we think being a lesbian is wrong." Her mother's voice sounded rich with emotion. "How could you do this to us?" she broke down in tears.
"So I'm afraid that we're going to have to send you to Taanab National Rehabilitation Center until you realize what you feel is wrong," her father took over again.
"Father, what I feel is not wrong!" Kira yelled. "As much as you want it to be, it's not! You can never change the way I feel!" With a mixture of anger and sadness inside of her, only being shown on the outside with clenched fists and a river of tears, Kira ran to her room and slammed the door so hard that the picture of her parents fell onto its face. She didn't bother to stand it up.
1 year later...
"Koujou?"
The now 14 year old girl responded to her name and looked up into the face of the light blue eyed 13 year old. "Who are you?" Kira asked.
"I am Tai, and Kendra has sent me here to get you."
"Wh-Who is Kendra?"
"All will be explained when we arrive at headquarters."
Although Kira did not understand, she gladly went, happy to be away from this hellhole she'd been living in for the last year.
Kira stepped into a transport and was instantly blinded by a white light.
Kendra, as Kira assumed it must be, looked down at Kira from her throne. She
started to speak. "The hate flows in you, Koujou. You have anger for all
people, but mostly your parents. This I can sense. But I also sense that the
Force runs strongly in you. If you stay with me, I can teach you to harness
the Force and get revenge on the ones you are angry at."
"Yes, I will join you," Kira said. Yes, this will be great, though the revenge is all I really want.
