Forced Affection

By Seijoutai Priire/Sailor Asteroid

“It’s not like he was the only
Bird in the forest,” said Mori.
“Or star in the sky,” added Priire
With a loud sigh from Yuki.
“For guys,” started the Goddess of Jade,
“You’ve got it made in the shade.
Mine’s in the future, I think
While I’m stuck here! It stinks.”
They talked like this for a bit,
Then in he came and did sit.
Kousotsu Renjiro, it was he.
The girls smiled as big as could be.
“If we follow Sailor Moon’s plot,
Then I wonder about this one spot,”
Said Zyta, “Who marries him?”
Blushes were bright and not dim.
“Umm,” started the flustered Jedi.
“Well,” continued the girl quickly,
“Is it Nom or Kirin or Kyoko?”
Said Boshi, “He doesn’t look like you
Chibis.” Everyone looked and agreed.
“But then, Darien looked not like Rini,”
Someone eagerly supplied.
“Dis’n nutsen,” Kairiku did chide.
“It’s his life, he’ll marry whoever!”
“What if he’s your father?”
The genius child was quiet at that.
Zyta hit the table with a slap.
“It must be Kyoko,” she said.
“She, like the Moon is our head.
The King is to marry the Queen,
Tux is the Prince; Naboo the girl, it seems.”

“What do you think of this, Kyoko?”
“I’m not sure, I don’t know,”
The blue-haired girl did sigh.
“It doesn’t seem right, but why?”
They sat in quiet for a moment,
Thinking the answer might be sent.
It wasn’t, so the silence was broken.
Kousotsu shrugged when he’d spoken,
“If we stay this was for a time,
The answer we may find.”

“Iridona! I protect destiny!”
“Tatoonie! I keep away from cookery!”
“Yavin! I guard the time gate!”
“Dathomir! I destroy and create!”
Sailors one by one said their name,
The posed, ready for the game.
The last Sailor was the girl in black,
She stood poised to attack.
“I am Asteroid! I shoot stuff!”
Her eyes were impish, but rough.
“This is why, my sister and friend,
We never take you places,” Yavin grinned.
Smiling, the Dark Sailor took a bow.
“Let’s get these Sith now!”
But soon the Sith were beating the Jedi,
So Asteroid went to them, eye to eye.
She planned to distract them so
Her friends could regroup and go.
Vjun said, “We’ve got to get a fix,
Or she’ll be killed by those Dark Side chicks!”
Tuxedo Jedi helped up Naboo.
She began to tell what them to do.
“The power of the stars in me,
Won’t let me let you be,”
Asteroid informed the Sith, “So leave!”
“That’s our line, I believe,”
Areil said. Then she did hurl
Her black fire at the Sailor girl.
The Dark Sailor was shoved back
Yet still launched her attack
From where she’d landed on her butt.
Before the fallen Sailor could say “What”
Black Death Lightning arched toward her.
“No!” screamed more than one. “Not Aster!”
Suddenly, it was gone like the Sith,
A rose and a cape she was protected with.
Asteroid looked up into Tux’s eyes,
The windows of the soul, they tell no lies.
They saw their forever in a glance,
What would be lost if they lost this chance?
Then, as if by perfect design,
Their hands met and intertwined.
Slowly, for they were on unfamiliar ground,
Their lips touched and love they found.
Arms around each other went,
For a starry kiss with a moonlit glint.

Tales of lovers come and go,
But this one thing there is to know:
A special love will leave a hint,
And affection forced is love misspent.
