Enter the Angels7

By Annika Nesicha/Sailor Bakura

A pot of water began to boil. A strange man looked on. He laughed. "Do you know what this means?" he asked the pink haired woman standing behind him.

"Yes," she said adding chemicals to the water, "we will finally get revenge." They both laughed maniacally.

Three girls walked down the road. They had been having a great time on Tatooine, despite the heat. Mika, Kirana, and Shikuku, being the newest Senshi, were still overwhelmed by their surroundings. They were, after all, from a different universe where Star Wars and Sailor Moon were fiction. They all ended up in a place that matched and exceeded all their dreams. It was also a pleasant shock to find out that they were pivotal to destiny. They were Sailor Jedi. Sworn protectors of the universe.

"What do you think of all this?" Kirana asked.

"What do you mean?" Mika asked her.

"This place. Who we are, the Sailor Sith…" They had yet to be in a real battle with the Sailor Sith and knew about them mainly from stories and the Library of Coruscant.

Shikuku cleared her throat. "I don’t know, it’s all so new. The Senshi always beat the Sith anyway, how tough can they be?"

"I suppose that’s true. One of them did pull me through a mirror, so, I wouldn’t underestimate them," said Kirana.

The three stopped at a food cart and bought a box of sweet rolls. "Did Annika ever tell you two about her first battle?" Shikuku smiled. Mika and Kirana shook their heads.

"It was before she met up with the rest of the Senshi. She was in some town on some planet, I don’t remember the name of the planet, but it begins with a ‘J’. Anyway, this giant Sith attacks, she turns into Sailor Bakura, it comes near her, she screams and runs away!" Shikuku had stopped walking and was now holding her stomach from laughing so hard. They all were.

"I hope I never do that!" Mika said, "I might though, you never know." They laughed and shopped some more before stopping to admire the twin sunset.

"Is this what I think it is?" the woman lovingly asked.

"Oh, yes. Finally our time has come! We will rule the universe!" he laughed. He held up a small, silver object. It glinted in the light of one of the moons. "With this, we will win." He put the object into a small hole, it travelled down a series of tunnels until it fell on the desk of a blue haired woman.

Behind a white door marked only with a black heart, the woman smiled and answered her beeping communicator.

"Angels7," she announced.

"I have a job for you Hope. Have you found the target?"

"Yes, Sir. Her name is Mika Kaipi. She’s innocent."

"Are you sure you can get to her?"

The woman’s lips turned unto a sinister grin, "Absolutely." The woman, Hope, loaded the silver object into a small gun. Called the ‘Seductive Destroyer,’ the gun was a marvel of the Angels7. It was strong enough to obliterate anyone that stood in its way and capture an innocent soul. That was Hope’s duty. To capture the souls of young innocents. She wasn’t sure what her bosses were looking for with souls, but they would add needed energy to the combined strength of the Angels7. Hope was the eldest of the group. And as the eldest she was given the task of getting the first soul. For some reason, the Angels7 were also given control over the Sailor Sith, except Kendra, the Sith Queen.

The silver bullet nestled in her gun as Hope packed it into her belt. She disguised herself as a tattered elderly saleswoman and snapped her fingers. She disappeared and reappeared in Mos Eisley. She snapped her fingers again and a booth appeared. The booth was littered with small jewelled rings, necklaces and bracelets, as well as candies and cookies.

Hope spotted Mika, she was playing with a small dewback. Her friends were busy playing a game at one of the booths. They didn’t know they were being swindled by the person behind the counter. There was no way for someone to get the circle around the blue milk bottle. They tried just the same.

Hope envied their laughter. She hadn’t laughed since the day she came to work for Kendra and the mysterious man. She and her six sisters lived on one of the moons of Iego before they were found living in a cave by Kendra. Their parents were killed and Hope was forced to care for the family. Kendra offered them food, freedom from poverty, warmth and shelter. She took them in when no one else would. They grew up in prosperity and learned from the best teachers in the universe. Hope never felt as if they mattered to the Sith. They were treated more like pets, like science experiments.

She brushed her shoulder length blue hair behind her ears and blocked off her memories. It was not productive to remember one’s past, that’s what Kendra told her. It lead to weakness. The coldness of the gun against her skin brought her thoughts back to her mission. She had to find it, she had to find the soul her boss wanted. Her eyes scanned the blonde girl who was walking toward the booth. Mika Kaipi.

Hope reached into her pocket and produced a red communicator, "Geri. It’s almost time." The female Sailor Sith appeared by the corner of a brown building and sneered. She wasn’t happy about being ordered around by anyone other than Kendra. Of course, she didn’t like that either. She folded her arms and waited.

Mika walked up to Hope and smiled. Her eyes twinkled, and she said, "Hello!"

"Hello, how may I help you this afternoon?" Hope smiled.

"I’m just looking, I guess. I’m new to this area, are these native pieces?" She reached for a stand of beaded necklaces and accidentally knocked them over. "I’m sorry," she said, helping Hope to pick them up.

"That’s fine. Yes, they are native. Would you like to admire your beautiful neck wearing the necklace? Here, look into this mirror." Hope held out a small bejewelled compact. Mika busily admired the strange shine on the beads and didn’t notice when Hope pulled out the gun. She aimed it at Mika’s heart. "Seductive Destroyer!" Hope yelled. A purple light shot out from the barrel of the gun and headed for Mika.

"No!," a voice yelled. It was Kirana. She saw Hope pull the gun, and started running for her friend. She got there in time to push Mika out of the way and have the white beam hit her.

A sharp pain shot through Kirana’s body. Her whole being was shaking with unbelievable agony. Her body slumped to the ground and a white energy was emitted from her heart. It took the shape of a sphere and was pulled in a tractor beam toward Hope.

"Yavin 4 Force Power Make Up!"

"Ralltiir Electricity Power Make Up!"

Mika and Shikuku had transformed into Sailors Yavin IV and Ralltiir.

"I am Sailor Yavin IV!"

"And I am Sailor Ralltiir!"

"On behalf of the universe and our friend, we’ll punish you!" they yelled in unison.

Hope laughed, "Geri, come out!!" she snapped her fingers. Geri tap danced out from her hiding spot and sang, "If you want to live, I suggest you run, I’ll take your life, I’ll make it fun…" She stopped and smiled.

"Try this!!" she yelled, "Black Hole Engulf!" The two sailors looked at each other and jumped back. Hope sprinted away with Kirana’s soul.

"I have to get her soul back, Sailor Ralltiir! Kirana saved me!" Yavin IV took off after the barely visible Hope. She didn’t mean to leave Ralltiir alone with the evil Sith, but she had no choice. If she didn’t get her soul, Kirana would die.

"Ralltiir Electrical Shock!" A purple ball of light shot from her hands and went straight towards Sailor Sith Iyagaru. She dodged it and fired back by using the Force to send sand flying at Ralltiir. She ducked behind a cart and flipped open her wrist communicator.

"Everyone! I’m in trouble! I’m in Mos Eisley, please hurry!" Geri picked up two large fruits and dropped them on Sailor Ralltiir’s head. She jumped up and attacked the Sith again.

"Ralltiir Electrical Shock!" This time it hit Sailor Sith Iyagaru, stunning her. She fell to the ground. Shikuku was stunned, she couldn’t believe she actually hit her! She smiled and clapped her hands. Geri was down, but she wasn’t out… not yet.

"Black Hole Engulf!" she yelled. Geri had regained her strength and it seemed her powers had grown. Or maybe Sailor Ralltiir was getting tired. This was her first real battle after all.

"You’ll never catch me, Senshi!" Hope yelled. She hurdled over fallen bricks and small dunes. She needed to get to the designated portal that would warp her back to the headquarters of the Angels7. She wasn’t a Sith, so she couldn’t just open a hole and step inside. She glanced over her shoulder. Despite falling every ten minutes, Sailor Yavin IV was gaining. She was agile and quick. Hope ran faster.

Yavin IV’s mind raced. I’ve got to catch her, she thought. She was too far away to attack, she had to keep running. Her eyes scanned the area. Nothing but sand. She frowned. Hope was getting farther and farther away. Something round and metal was placed on the sand. Mika watched as the blue haired woman pulled out a black remote and pushed a button. The metal circle glowed and a soft, black beam of light catapulted straight up the Tatooine atmosphere. Hope smiled. She was going to make it.

Mika was breathing too fast, she wasn’t sure if she would be able to keep running. Just when she thought she would collapse, Hope suddenly stopped. She stepped backwards. Yavin IV could see Sailors Naboo, Shooting Star, Calamari, and Chibi Hoth; they stood with their arms crossed. The cavalry has arrived, Mika gratefully thought.

Hope was surrounded. She looked at Yavin IV and tossed Kirana’s soul. All the Senshi ran after it. Hope stepped into the black light, then she and the round metal portal were gone.

Mika stretched out her hand and dived. She caught it! She was holding Kirana’s innocent soul in her hands. She looked at the other Senshi who were looking at her quizzically. "We have to get this back to Kirana immediately! There’s no time to spare!" They all took off running in the direction of Mos Eisley.

Mika cleared the tears from her eyes and placed the white sphere in front of Kirana’s heart. It was absorbed back into the girl’s body and Kirana opened her eyes.

"What happened?" she asked. Mika laughed and hugged her friend.

Iyagaru had grabbed Sailor Ralltiir by her neck and was choking her. "Bakura Eternal Heart Dream!" Geri noticed the stream of Sailor Bakura’s pink light and white hearts aiming for her. She dropped Shikuku and tried to run, but couldn’t. Her energy was drained instantly. Geri slumped down to the sandy ground. Tuxedo Jedi quickly grabbed her and he and the rest of the Senshi met back in the hull of the Black Fire Dreamer. They had Sailor Sith Iyagaru blindfolded and Force-tied to a chair.

She was regaining conscious and moaned. Her eyes snapped opened and she struggled against the chair. She closed her eyes and called out to Kendra to save her. Nothing happened. "Sithspit!" she cursed.

"Who do you work for? Who was the blue haired woman and what did she want with Kirana’s soul?" Sailor Naboo asked. Geri made a face and crossed her eyes. The Shiroi Knight cleared his throat and stood in front of Geri.

"It’s no use, Naboo. Geri’s too stupid to know anything, aren’t you Geri? You don’t have to answer that, we already know," he winked at Sailor Naboo. She caught on and began to play along.

"That’s right. It’s a good thing that Kendra is the Queen, at least she knows how to control things. You’ll never be the Sith Queen, Geri. You can’t even escape us, what makes you think you’ll wrestle power from her?"

It was working. Geri’s face was blood red and her blood was boiling. How dare these pathetic Senshi tell her she can’t be Queen! If they only knew her true power…she didn’t want to work with the Angels7, she personally hated them. They weren’t Sith, and anyone not Sith was trash to her.

So what if she told them about Hope? Kendra would never find out, and maybe the Senshi would get them off her back. Besides, she had regained her full strength and was now able to escape. Geri smiled and whispered, "Angels7." A black bolthole opened under the chair and Geri slipped through.

"What does that mean? Angels7?" Tuxedo Jedi asked.

Priire shrugged her shoulders, "Who knows? She’s nuts! She probably made it up."

"I don’t know," Sailor Naboo mused, "She seemed happy for a second. As if she were glad to be telling."

"If she is telling the truth, who are the Angels7?" Miharu asked.

"Hope. Your mission failed, I hear," a strange man said into the communicator.

"Yes sir, I humbly apologise. My position was compromised by the arrival of the Sailor Jedi. It won’t happen again."

"Good. I’ve got another bullet for you. Have you found another suspect?"

Hope sat in front of a computer back inside the laboratory. Statistics and photographs flashed on the screen and finally stopped on the face of a young girl.

"New suspect confirmed," she grinned. The communicator went dead and a silver bullet landed on her desk.
