The Bunny Slippers

Written by Seijoutai Priire/Sailor Asteroid

"I'm never speaking to you again!" Annika yelled at the mirror. "And that's that!"

She turned around and tried to stomp off gracefully, but ended up tripping over a pink bunny slipper. The princess sniffled and stared at her mirror. It wasn't very kind to her sometimes. Standing up, she straightened her pink jumper and turned back to her mirror.

"I'm never, ever going to speak to you again!" she said, still practicing. When Obi-Wan got back, she was going to set him straight. She was a Sailor Jedi and a Princess and could do whatever she wanted! She turned to practice walking away again and tripped over the other bunny slipper.

Obi-Wan glanced around. The Room Behind the Waterfall was eerily silent. That meant either everyone was gone or trouble was brewing. He sighed. Earlier, he had informed Annika that she wasn't going with Priire, Tashita, and Ippin to stop whatever havoc the Sith were causing. He wondered if she was still mad.

Walking along, he listened for any noise or indication of Annika's presence. As he passed her door, a vase flew out of the room and almost hit him. He stepped backwards, eyes wide. "Oh no."

He leaned forward, trying to look in, only to be assaulted by a picture frame. "Annika?" he guessed.

"I am never talking to you again!" she responded, throwing one of her bunny slippers.

"So this is a bad time?"

She threw the other slipper at him.

"I think you dropped something," a British-accented voice said softly. Kleppa gathered up the copious amounts of thrown objects and took them back to Annika. Obi-Wan took the opportunity to make a hasty - but dignified - exit.

"What's wrong, Annika?" Kleppa asked as she helped the princess put her things back on her shelves.

Annika sniffled. "Obi-Wan is so mean to me! I don’t think he really loves me anymore."

Fortunately, the Princess couldn't see the glint in Kleppa's eyes.

"Waterfall Blast!" Sailor Bakura shouted. The being she was attack wasn't - as she might have imagined - Obi-Wan, but a slimy-looking thing Geri concocted. "Ew!" the senshi said, backing away. "Gross!"

Obi-Wan sliced the evil thing with a sweep of his lightsaber. "Be careful," he warned his girlfriend.

"I don't have to do what you tell me to!" she shouted back. Bakura started to turn away from him, but he caught her arm.

"Annika," he said softly, "I'm only trying to h..."

She shook her head. "Leave me alone!"

The pair was so interested in each other that they didn't notice Chibi Ayameru watching them. The small silver senshi closed her eyes. She could feel the tension between the two and could see fluctuating ribbons. Chibi Ayameru wrinkled her brow. That was funny. Usually she saw hearts made of crystal and shiny things like that. Today, all she could see were ribbons. Red ones, stretching in straight lines from heart to heart. She almost smiled. The little guardian turned to where Bakura and Obi-Wan were arguing. She didn't like what she saw with their ribbon and Bakura's tears... and she knew how to fix it.

"Red Ribbons!" Chibi Ayameru whispered. In the darkness that suddenly surrounded her, everything seemed black and white and frozen in place. All except for the ribbons that connected one heart to another. They seemed more vibrant than any color that existed. Thin ribbons surrounded the silver-suited girl and spread out from her body, growing larger. She uncrossed her arms and stretched up to the sky, letting the ribbons spiral around her upward-stretched hand. The little senshi pointed at Bakura and Obi-Wan as she opened her eyes. It a rush of fabric and color, the ribbons zoomed towards the pair, wrapping their hands together. Color spread out from them, changing the world from its previous black and white state.

"Hey!" Bakura shouted. "What happened!"

Sailor Asteroid was laughing at the annoyed senshi of love. "I think..." the Dark Sailor said between fits of laughter, "that Chibi Ayameru just tied you and your eternal love together!"

"I don't want to be tied to him!" Bakura whined. "He's being mean!"

Obi-Wan apparently thought it was amusing. He started laughing.

"It's not funny!" Bakura said, pouting.

A faint red glow came from the red ribbon around their hands, and it seemed to reflect off the ribbon that connected their hearts. The light glinted - faintly - off all of the ribbons in the area... but they were so faintly illuminated that only someone looking for them could have seen them. Chibi Ayameru smiled.

Obi-Wan put his arm around Bakura. "I'm sorry," he said softly.

A feeling of love and happiness came of the pink suited sailor. She blushed. "I love you, Obi-Wan!"

Chibi Ayameru smiled. How useful.

Annika kissed Obi-Wan. "I'm sorry I threw my slippers at you," she said.

"It's all right," he responded, smiling. "I love you!"
